You can use the default yum repository to install Docker on your CentOS Linux 7 or RHEL Linux 7 server, just type the following command: $ sudo yum install docker -y Installing Docker from the Default YUM Repository Now it is maintained by the docker community and Dock Inc. Docker is an open source project and it can be create a lightweight container to run applications, it is like virtual machines, and it is more portable, more resource-friendly and more dependent on the host operating system.
